The USMEPCOM Staff Judge Advocate (SJA) advises the Commander, a General Court-Martial Convening Authority, on all legal matters affecting the operations of the Command, two Sector Headquarters and the 65 Military Entrance Processing Stations. Legal advice and interagency coordination provided by the Office of the SJA covers a wide range of subjects including:
- Military criminal law
- Civilian personnel and labor law
- Claims by and against the U.S. Government
- Procurement law
- General administrative law
- The Freedom of Information Act
