Master Sergeant Robert A. Anderson

Master Sergeant Robert A. Anderson is the senior enlisted advisor of the Salt Lake City Military Entrance Processing Station.

Master Sergeant Anderson enlisted in the United States Army in June 1990 at the Honolulu MEPS. His first assignment was as unit clerk, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas, from February 1991 to September 1993. He next served with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, from September 1993 through January 1997, as a personnel sergeant. From January 1997 through February 1998, he was the readiness noncommissioned officer-in-charge at Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Infantry Division, South Korea. He served as a personnel sergeant at the Minneapolis MEPS from February 1998 through June 2000. He was next assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 704th Support Battalion, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, as the senior human resources sergeant from June 2000 through January 2008, followed by assignment to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 4th Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, as the senior human resources sergeant. Prior to his current assignment to the United States Military Entrance Processing Command, he served as chief, joint support division for the Joint United States Military Assistance Group in the Philippines.

Master Sergeant Andersonís professional military education includes the Warrior Leader Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Battle Staff Course, Senior Leaders Course and the Security Assistance Management Overseas Course. He earned an Associate of Applied Science in Applied Technology from Central Texas College, Killeen.

Master Sergeant Andersonís military awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal and various unit and service medals and ribbons.
