Major Regina I. Tellado is the commander of the Pittsburgh Military Entrance Processing Station.

Major Tellado enlisted in the Pennsylvania National Guard and processed through the Harrisburg Military Entrance Processing Station in September 1995. She served as a legal specialist while pursuing higher education. In February 2000, she completed Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Ga., and received her commission as a second lieutenant in the Adjutant General Corps. Her first duty assignment as an officer was Fort Jackson, S.C., where she served with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, United States Army Chaplain Center and School as the company executive officer, and later, as regiment adjutant and finally as company commander. She then served with Victory Support Battalion, Victory Support Brigade, as the battalion human resources officer, also at Fort Jackson. Her next assignment was Mechanicsburg, Penn., where she served with the Harrisburg Military Entrance Processing Station as the operations officer. She was next assigned to Joint Base Lewis-McChord, where she served with 4th Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division as the brigade human resources officer, and later with the 593rd Support Brigade as the officer in charge of the human resources operations branch.

Major Tellado’s professional military education includes the Primary Leadership Development Course, Officer Candidate School, Adjutant General Basic and Advanced Courses, Equal Opportunity Leader Course, Combined Arms and Services Staff School, Intermediate Level Education, and Support Operations Course. She earned a bachelor of arts in political science from Millersville University, Penn., a juris doctor degree from Dickinson School of Law, Pennsylvania State University, Carlisle, and a master of science degree in public administration from Shippensburg University, Penn.

Major Tellado’s military awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, three Army Achievement Medals and various unit and service medals and ribbons.
