Master Chief Petty Officer Sergio H. Moreno is the senior enlisted advisor of the New Orleans Military Entrance Processing Station.

Master Chief Petty Officer Moreno enlisted in the United States Navy in January 1994 at the San Antonio MEPS and attended boot camp in Orlando, Florida. He served as an airborne operator, Naval Security Group Activity Kunia, Oahu, Hawaii; surface supervisor, Naval Security Group Activity Medina, San Antonio, Texas; airborne supervisor and airborne communication evaluator, Navy Information Operation Center Bahrain, Manama, Bahrain; sub surface supervisor, Navy Information Operation Center Georgia, Fort Gordon, Georgia; advance language readiness team leading chief petty officer, Navy Information Operation Center, Maryland, Fort Meade, Maryland; and command senior chief, Cooperative Security Location, Comalapa, El Salvador.

His professional military education includes the Vietnamese Basic Course, Naval Aircrewman Candidate School, Modern Standard Arabic Course, Senior Enlisted Academy, and Command Leadership School. He earned a Associates in Arabic Studies, Defense Language Institute, Monterrey California, and a Bachelor of Arts in Arabic Studies, Excelsior College, Albany, New York.

Master Chief Petty Officer Moreno’s military awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, eight Air Medals, five Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various unit and service medals and ribbons.
