First Sergeant Jennifer A. Boyd is the Senior Enlisted Advisor of the Louisville Military Entrance Processing Station.
First Sergeant Boyd enlisted in the United States Army in Oct. 1986, processing through the Charlotte Military Entrance Processing Station. She completed Basic Combat Training at Fort McClellan, Ala. Her first duty assignment was Ansbach, Germany, where she served with 400th Personnel Support Company as a personnel actions specialist. She was next assigned to Fort Lee, Va., where she served with Headquarters and Headquarters Company United States Army Garrison as a personnel action clerk in the identification card section and later in the transition point section. Her next assignment was to Fort Richardson, Alaska, where she served with 203rd Adjutant General Detachment 2 as noncommissioned officer in charge of the personnel actions identification card section, noncommissioned officer in charge of promotions and retirements section, and later as noncommissioned officer in charge of inprocessing and outprocessing. Her next assignment was to Camp Humphreys, south Korea, where she served with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 23rd Support Group as a personnel services sergeant. First Sergeant Boyd's next assignment returned her to Fort McClellan where she served with United States Army Medical Command as a personnel services sergeant. She was next assigned to Fort Knox, Ky., where she served with Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 1st Squadron, 16th Cavalry Regiment as a personnel services sergeant. She was subsequently assigned to Fort Riley, Kan., where she served with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 24th Infantry Division (Mechanized), United States Army Garrison as the division senior equal opportunity advisor. She returned to Camp Humphreys where she served with United States Army Training Support Activity as a senior human resource sergeant. Her next assignment was to Fort Dix, N.J., where she served with 1st Company, 309th Training Support Battalion as a senior human resources noncommissioned officer and later as the adjutant general team senior enlisted advisor. First Sergeant Boyd was next assigned to Fort Bragg, N.C., where she served with 82nd Sustainment Brigade as casualty operations noncommissioned officer and later as a senior human resources noncommissioned officer. She deployed to Camp Victory, Iraq, in Jan 2011 where she served United States Forces-Iraq as a senior human resources noncommissioned officer. Upon redeployment, she returned to Fort Bragg, where she served with Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, XVIII Airborne Corps as a senior human resources noncommissioned officer.
First Sergeant Boyd's professional military education includes the Warrior, Advanced and Senior Leadership Courses, Equal Opportuity Advisor Course, Battle Staff Course, Postal Operations Course, and Postal Supervisor Course. She has earned an associate of liberal arts from the University of Alaska, Anchorage, bachelor of science degree in business administration from Upper Iowa University, Fayetteville, Iowa, and a master of business administration from Strayer University, Ashburn, Va.
Her military awards and decorations include three Meritorious Service Medals, Joint Service Commendation Medal, six Army Commendation Medals, three Army Achievement Medals and numerous unit and service medals and ribbons.
