First Sergeant Alan J. Cline is the senior enlisted advisor of 10th Battalion, United States Military Entrance Processing Command, and the Jacksonville Military Entrance Processing Station.

First Sergeant Cline enlisted in the United States Army in December 1994, processing through the Columbus MEPS. His first duty assignment was to Heidelberg, Germany, where he served as a personnel action clerk with the U.S. Army Hospital Heidelberg. In August 1997 he transferred to Fort Drum, N.Y., where he served as promotions noncommissioned officer in charge with 10th Soldier Support Battalion, 10th Mountain Division. In January 1999 he transferred to Frankfurt, Germany, where he was assigned to 64th Replacement Company as operations sergeant. In May 2002 he was reassigned to Norfolk, Va., where he served as Army liaison to the United States Joint Forces Command. In September 2004 he transferred to Fort Campbell, Ky., where he served as brigade combat team senior noncommissioned officer in charge, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division.

His professional military education and training includes the Warrior Combat Course, Basic and Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Courses, and Army Master Resiliency Training. He earned a bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Maryland, College Park, Md., and a master of business administration degree from Grantham University.

First Sergeant Cline's military awards and decorations include two Bronze Star Medals, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, two Army Commendation Medals, Joint Service Achievement Medal, four Army Achievement Medals, and various unit and service medals and ribbons.
