Information for Inbound Personnel:

Military personnel considering or pending assignment to the Charlotte MEPS can find a variety of local information at the following websites. Interservice support agreements exist with the installations below to provide MEPS military members with administrative and quality of life services. USMEPCOM does not exercise any control on the content or operation of the sites listed below. (Note: Links will open a new browser window.):

• Fort Bragg — (approx. 130 miles from the MEPS) Provides limited housing support (check with sponsor), commissaries, PX, and physical fitness centers. The Soldier Support Center houses many of the in-processing stations. It is open from 0800 to 1700 daily. The stations include verification of assignment and pinpoint orders, personnel, finance, medical records screening, ID Cards and updating, post vehicle registration, dental screening, ACS, Youth Services, and transportation.
• Fort Jackson — (approx. 309 miles from the MEPS) Provides commissaries, PX, and physical fitness centers. Moncrief Army Community Hospital (MACH) and Humana Military Health Services (HMHS). MACH is accepting Active Duty and Active Duty Family members for TRICARE Prime enrollment.

• TRICARE — All military members assigned to Charlotte MEPS are required to enroll in TRICARE Prime Remote (TPR), due to the MEPS distance from military health care facilities. Make sure your DEERS information is correct because DEERS enrollment directly affects the level of care provided by TRICARE. The TRICARE link is provided for your convenience.
  
  

• Plan My Move — Plan My Move provides you with access to information about your entitlements and benefits, to points of contact, checklists, planning tools, and information on education and employment. Plan My Move will put you and your family in charge of a smooth relocation to your new duty assignment.
